The Al Shirawi Group of Companies has embarked on a plan to help promote Dubai’s bid to host the World Expo 2020, group director Hisham Abdulla Al Shirawi said on Sunday.
Al Shirawi, who is also CEO of Oasis Enterprises, which is part of the group, said as per the plan, all group companies would carry the Expo 2020 logo and accompanying tag line in all its print and electronic communication.

“Furthermore, we will impress upon our overseas clients, suppliers, business associates and friends to follow suit, thereby urging their governments in member countries to vote in Dubai’s favour, when the voting to elect the hosting country takes place in November’13. We remain confident and optimistic Dubai will emerge victorious,” said Al Shirawi.

“Dubai has always in the past displayed its ability to host international events with remarkable success and pull off the events with distinguished organisational talent. It is this faith and confidence in its ability to do so, combined with the guidance from the meticulous effort of a very dynamic Expo 2020 organisation committee that we have decided to do our bit,” said Al Shirawi.
