Oasis Coils was toasting a quality success last month when it was recommended for ISO9001/2000 certification after four months of intense work.
But the company is not resting on its laurels and this success is only being viewed as a stepping stone to yet more quality awards in the coming months.
Krishna Kumar, Corporate Quality Manager for Oasis Coils, has been leading the way for the ISO quality standards certification, and he said: “It is very good news for us, but we don’t stop there.”
“We have set our sights on achieving more product specific quality standards and this first award is just a stepping stone towards achieving a total quality package.”
Intense work was need to achieve the ISO certification recommendation, including creating procedures and systems for every job carried out by every member of staff. It also required these systems to be aligned so that staff could understand what they had to achieve while at work.
“There were specific and realistic targets set for our employees during certification process and it was important that everybody was on board while these targets were reached,” Krishna added.
Now there will be monthly audits to make sure that the quality standards achieved are maintained and if a procedure is found to be flawed in any way, then it will be addressed during the monthly internal audits to make sure continuos quality is achieved.
Krishna said: “We have a vision of providing a flawless service to our customers and this certification is the first step towards that vision.
“All employees have a clear idea of what is needed and with three or four more quality awards in our sight, we hope to achieve total quality for our customers.”
